Detox Products
When
you are feeling sluggish, having skin problems, aches and pains,
even digestive issues. You might have shifted from healthier habits
recently or your body has simply had enough of what you are feeding
it.
The time has come for a detox..... What is a detox?
Detoxification basically means cleaning the blood. Some would
say 'flushing out your system'. Over a period of time your body
build ups toxins, these are impurities that are not properly filtered
and body cells are adversely affected. |
|
|
A detox mainly
removes impurities from the blood in the liver which is where
toxins are processed. The body also eliminates toxins through
the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, it often
needs help when over worked.
|
|
Detoxes
don't need to be harsh, punishing or complicated. Green
tea for example has detoxification properties and there
are ready made detox plans but before you embark upon any
detoxification it is important to look at your lifestyle
at the moment.
Ideally
you need to eliminate alcohol, coffee, cigarettes, refined
sugars and saturated fats, because these are likely to be
part of the toxins in you and will act as obstacles during
your detox process.
It is
also worth looking at your use of chemical-based household
cleaners and personal health care products (cleansers, shampoos,
deodorants and toothpastes), and substitute natural alternatives.
|
| Is detoxification
safe? Consult your doctor if you have concerns about whether
detoxing is right for you, particularly if you are a nursing
mother or have chronic degenerative diseases, cancer or tuberculosis.
It is important that you talk with your GP relating to detox
with children. |
